About Aritmos in the food sector

Aritmos is a Sage Platinum Partner based in Lleida, in the heart of Catalonia’s agri-food region. Since 1984, it has implemented Sage X3 in hundreds of food sector companies: cooperatives, processing industries, packers, wineries, olive oil mills, meat and dairy industries. It has its own Sage-certified verticals (ISV Champion / Tech Partner) that add native traceability, quality, settlement and production functionality specific to the food sector on top of the standard Sage X3 platform.

Success story

Grupo Regany

Grupo Regany has spent a decade working with Sage X3 implemented by Aritmos. In 2025 it has taken a step further: integrating transport planning with a TMS, opening a B2B order portal for its customers and activating automatic SMS updates. A continuity case that shows how an ERP grows with the business.

What food companies ask us

Yes. Sage X3 with Aritmos’ developments provides backward and forward traceability by batch: from the raw material (supplier, plot of origin, date of receipt, quality parameters) to the finished product shipped (customer, delivery note, pallet, GS1/SSCC code). It covers IFS, BRC and ISO 22000 audit requirements.

Allergens are linked to the raw material record and automatically carried through to recipes and the finished product. The system can generate technical data sheets with the allergen declaration in line with EU Regulation 1169/2011, and blocks production if an allergen not declared in the formula is detected.

Yes. Sage X3 supports EDI (electronic data interchange) for automated communication with the main retail chains: orders, confirmations, delivery notes and invoices. This eliminates manual data entry and reduces errors in handling high-volume orders.

Yes. Stock is managed by batch with use-by and best-before dates. Rotation can be set to FIFO (first in, first out) or FEFO (first expired, first out). The system generates automatic alerts when a batch approaches its expiry date.

Sage X3 does not grant certification itself (that depends on the external audit), but it provides the tools needed to meet the documentation requirements: full traceability, quality control with records, HACCP management, allergen management, supplier control and centralised documentation. Many Aritmos customers have obtained or maintained their IFS and BRC certifications with Sage X3 in place.

Aritmos has been working with agri-food companies for more than 40 years. It does not just implement standard Sage X3: it has its own Sage-certified verticals for subsectors such as fruit and vegetables, olive oil mills, wine, meat, dairy and more. This means native traceability, quality, settlement and production functionality that other partners would have to develop from scratch.

The cost depends on the size of the company, the number of users, the modules required and the complexity of operations. Aritmos offers a free preliminary analysis to scope the project. Get in touch for a personalised demo.
