Lleida.net is a telecommunications operator specializing in registered electronic communications, a member of GSMA for nineteen years and, today, it has agreements with more than a thousand operators worldwide, which means an international network of communication by SMS extending to two hundred countries in the five continents. It is worth mention, for example, that its network puts through more than a million transactions a day for the sending and receipt of SMS.

With customers in more than 40 countries, its products and services are present in the three territorial fields of the Public Authorities, political parties, communication media, SMEs, and large companies which operate in various sectors of activity. In 2008, the company took an important step forward with a new strategic line of business which had the objective of added value in communications: the sending of registered SMS from Lleidanet.movil, as well as accessing services from the mobile phone. Subsequently, in 2010, it added registered e-mails to its services, so that today contracts can be closed easily by both SMS and e-mail, with total legal validity.

This has made Lleida.net the leader in the sector of registered short messages and registered e-mail communications. The company, with its headquarters in Lleida (from where it takes its name), also has offices around the world: in Madrid, London, Miami, Tokyo, New Delhi, Sao Paulo, Bogota and Santiago de Chile.

We needed a solution which would enable us to go further in the business and cover the needs of various international offices, such as the United Kingdom or the United States.

In working with such small units, of relatively little cost but astronomical quantities, any minimal deviation could cause a huge hole in the company. In fact, the previous control system had become inadequate in view of the business growth. As a client of Sage Contapplus, “we went for the installation of a solution which would allow us not only to go further in the business, but also to cover the needs of the various offices that we maintained outside the country, such as those in the United Kingdom and United States, so that everything could be managed in a centralised manner”, explained Sisco Sapena, Managing Director of the operator.

Before starting

For this reason, it was essential to install a solution that, as Andreu Salvadó, Managing Director of Aritmos, the partner installing the solution, specifies, “in addition to controlling all areas related with billing, they needed a multi-legislation tool to deal with the regulations of the various offices, today and in the future, with which they work. Therefore they needed a multi-platform and multilingual ERP, characteristics that Sage X3 can meet in full. To this we must add the experience of an enterprise such as Aritmos in the installation of similar solutions”.

Aritmos took on installation of the solution Sage X3. And, "although the implementation has not been easy, due to the complexity of the process in itself and that we ourselves are not a ‘current business’, after examining all the processes that had to be optimised, such as automated electronic billing, which were our main shortcomings, together with the growth which led to a need to control differences in flow, the installation of Sage X3 has been very satisfactory”, said the Managing Director of Lleida.net.




With Sage X3 we have strict and automated control over the units, which allows us to detect errors instantly.

Thanks to this tool, some errors have been found which the old manual systems passed over. The installation process has been so satisfactory that Sisco Sapena can joke about it, “we have already written off the investment”. This is possible since, in contrast to the earlier manual controls, “we now have a stricter and more automated control over the units, which allows us to detect errors instantly. Before, on the other hand, the periods extended over time, which meant that the errors were more and more serious. This is possible since we control the costs practically every hour, so that we can detect any deviation, however small it may be”.

As well as the installation of Sage X3, Aritmos supplied a series of values from which Lleida.net has benefited. “We not only installed the solution itself, but we also have a factory in which we develop vertical and different solutions. Some of these have served to give greater added value to this ERP. It must be remembered that the client, as is the case of Lleida.net, sometimes does not know what can be achieved with a solution of these characteristics, so that its implementation offers them a lot of possibilities which redound positively on the whole structure of their business” says the Managing Director of Aritmos, Andreu Salvadó.
